I had this big long post written to share with you my malcontent with the craptastic resort we’re staying at…but wordpress ate it! The resort, Springmaid Beach Hotel is the beach resort from hell. The employees think so too…because they’ve all had their smiles sucked right off their soulless little faces. No one is happy to be here, least of all me. It is the anti-Disney. If Tigger worked here, he’d have black electrical tape over his eyes a la a “Fashion Don’t” page. My hubby’s company is providing Springmaid with free TV advertising in exchange for allowing their employees stay here during business and/or relocations. There are some out there that would expect to get substandard service since that’s the case. But I don’t…and here’s why….they won’t be receiving half a TV ad, they’ll receive a full service ad (at least I’m pretty sure of that). I actually think they treat all their guests this way. Our refridgerator has been broken for 2 days now, we’ve called them three times informing them our food is rotting as we speak. So far no one’s come. Thank goodness our fridge gets installed at our house tomorrow. I had written here before WP ate my post, that they’ve only fully cleaned the room 3 times since we arrived 13 days ago. They didn’t pick up garbage for three days…with me calling each day. At this juncture…I reccommend Motel 6…at least they will leave the light on for you. Anyone who knows me will attest to the fact that I HATE bad service. Managing service for as long as I have, it really raises my hackles for crap like this to be going down, espectially in a resort town. I shouldn’t have to get up out of bed and be dressed and gone by 9am at a “VACATION RESORT” with nearly all day Housekeeping, in order to get our beds made and fresh towels. :RRRRRRROOOOOOAOOOOOOOROAAAAOAAAOOOOR: I’d ask them who a person had to sleep with in order to get fresh towels and trash removal daily and a fridge that works…but you know…they’d have someone up to the room in 10 mins for that.

Maybe we’d be better off buying a couple blowup mattressess and sleeping on the floor with the cats, the rest of our stuff gets here Thursday. Oh, we closed on our house this past Thursday…so yay for voluntary indebtedness!

Aren’t I a happy one? It’s those employees….they’re like anti-stepford employees and they’re sucking me into their cyclone of misery. They hate it here…and they want the guests to hate it too! At least they’re good at something.
