I’ve got a song stuck in my head…get it out! :/

So, Ashlyn and I got the new 2 disc Soundtrack to “The Nightmare Before Christmas”. It’s marvelous, if you like that music. :) Some interesting remixes on the 2nd CD.

Marilyn Manson doing “This is Halloween” to perfection I might add. I’m not real big on Mr. Manson’s art but this project was totally up his alley. Fiona Apple re-did Sally’s Song. And may I say, she brought it to a whole new level of morose for me. I loved it! Loved it so much…that I can’t get it out of my head. :/ I am a big fan of the original version done by Catharine O’Hara and it was so cool to hear it done so differently, and yet love it too.

Panic at the Disco did a second version of “This is Halloween” and it’s quite theatrical, and sounds more like what was in the score. The biggest difference to me, is that listening to Manson’s version…you can actually begin to believe he’s there under your stairs. LOL

Fall Out Boy graced us with “What’s This?” one of the most charming songs in my opinion in the movie. It sounds really good as well.

Kidnap the Sandy Claws…is a totally different storry. Some group I’ve never heard of “She Wants Revenge” I believe is their name. The lyrics are there, I hear a “few” of the right notes/melodies being thrown about, but …damn if this doesn’t sound like a 1980s song from the Human League, who I loved btw. Just seems like an anachronism to me and let’s face it…Lock, Stock and Barrell…they had that song down! :)

Now, I just need to get out and see the 3D version and my life will be complete. Well, until the next cool thing happens.

I can’t stop hicking up…so I’ll stop typing now.
