24 - Day 6.7 - (SPOILERS Ahead!)
You can still turn back! If you haven’t watched last night’s episode, AVERT YOUR EYES! Do. NOT. click. MORE! ![]()
OK, so once McCarthy said he found an engineer but he’d need to be coerced, totally knew it was Morris. Have no idea why, except that he’s seemed smart about hacker/nerdy stuff in an under the table sort of way. Not that I think he’s underhanded, just one of those guys that’s good to know if you need to do something quick and dirty. Then enter the “hurt” brother and him leaving, I just knew that his face would be the one we’d see. I really should write this stuff.
Papa Bauer, how you disappoint me. This will not do, Papa Bauer, this will not do. I had a feeling midway through the episode that he was perhaps not as good as I was relieved to think he was last week. There was something hollow in his words and James Cromwell is a better actor than that, so I felt that was intentional. And I’ll be damned if I wasn’t right, again. I ended up seeing Graham for the simpering brother that would do anything to earn his dad’s approval which was territory I didn’t expect to enter. I see Papa Bauer, while clearly not having the love for his sons he should, respecting Jack more than Graham, even if Jack is counter to all his plans, whatever those might be.
It was hard for me to be as happy as I was to see Graham hurt after all the pain he has caused, because I could see how much it hurt Jack. I did not expect to see or feel that, as I had always envisioned him being able to dispense with anyone that stood in the way of Country and his mission at hand, with the exception of Teri and Kim. Kiefer Sutherland, again proves that he is such a good actor. My heart broke with his as he held his brother close, as close to begging as I think Jack can get for his brother to help him stop the pain of the interrogation. But in the end, again proving that he’ll do what he has to do to save thousands, if not millions, of lives. Awesome acting, just awesome.
I so wonder what Papa Bauer is up to. What does it all mean? Will they get to Morris in time? Will Chloe have to face yet, another death of someone close to her? is Josh, Jack’s son? Why is the sister in law so mean to Jack? What happened that she married his brother? 2 hours next week!? That just rocks! Can’t wait!
Your thoughts?

TWO - that’s TWO blessed hours next week! :o) I knew Papa Bauer was dirty but I didn’t think he’d do the dirty work of killing his son himself. I also found it unsettling and unexpected to enter the waters of pity for Graham - great twist on the writer’s part. I keep reminding myself how early it is because every season SO much happens in every hour. It’s one of the only shows I can’t begin to formulate an ending for and I love it. Still think Karen messed up but don’t think we’ve seen the last of her yet. ;o)

**stumbles about with hands over eyes, bumps into door, bangs head, stubs toe, falls over, crawls home**
I defy you!!

We were just the opposite, saw the Daddy Bauer betrayal but didn’t really see the Morris thing coming. I thought both were good little twists to be in the same episode. And next week looks good, a 2 hour event, can’t wait

I thought the engineer could have been Pa Bauer, Gram, or Morris the way they set it all up. But as soon as Morris dashed out before the image was almost done I figured it out. The baddies were pretty lucky that Morris would just rush out or the CTU would let him go.
