Send me a Valentinr! 2000 Bloggers, Anna Nicole and Just Stuff…

Get your own valentinr
Just so you know, I’ll be totally devastated if I don’t get oodles of these. In light of all the postings around the blogosphere re: the 2000 Blogger Project and whether or not we deserve the love we have or have not been getting as a result of signing up to do a cool thing, I demand to be seated not just at the cheerleader’s table, but at the head of it! I totally deserve any and all love I’m getting, like, I’m cute, I’m funny (my writing, not my looks) and just bitchy assertive enough to be like, totally the Blogosphere Homecoming Queen! Sounds ridiculous doesn’t it? I agree, it’s so high school. Just let a really cool project, be a really cool project. No reason to disavow your participation, no reason to hate on people who chose to, I’m thinking those “A List Bloggers” had equal chance to get added to the list, so wouldn’t their numbers get inflated equally? Darn it, you can’t choose who links to you, no matter how much you whine. So, if other people chose to put that blogroll on their site, they are inflating your precious statistics, not you. Whatever, way to turn something really cool, like 2000 separate bloggers getting together in one mass social project into something not cool. ::golf clap:: Happy now? No wonder people hardly do random acts of kindness or coolness anymore. Really.
Anna Nicole Smith: The only word that pops into my head for the “why” is “Drugs”. Seemingly like everyone else. You had to see this coming. That poor baby. I sure hope they can get the DNA tests done so she can at least grow up really knowing who her Dad is. It’s going to be a tough road for her no matter what. What a legacy of sadness, I hope it ended with her Mom and brother.
I’m feeling a bit better, still not 100% but making the turn. Ashlyn’s back in school and I’m left to look at the aftermath of household neglect after a week of illness. Good times. The dust bunnies will still be there next week when I’m feeling 100 percent. For now, they can bust out the chips and salsa and have their little dust bunny parties under the couch as long as they don’t play really loud music like the construction worker’s next door did until I called the office. I’m starting to feel like Mrs. Kravitz of Bewitched, peeking at them through half closed blinds and complaining to the office because they disturb my “right to reasonable enjoyment” of my house. Oh well, we paid enough for this house not to have to listen to thumping bass throughout our house. Yes, it was that bad.
What do you get when you take a Canuck, send them to the deep south (USA) then send them to Yankee land? Click on The Life of a Neurotic Mom’s thumbnail to the right and find out!
American Idol, oh how I loathe the pre-Hollywood weeks. I loathed it right into not really watching it. Too bad for them. In my half-listening to it from the other room, it didn’t sound like I missed much. I am ready for real talent to start shining through. Aren’t you?
In closing, I’m baaaaaaaack! Though it may take a few days for my Project 365 to get into full swing, I’m not feeling that perky.

Welcome back to the land of the living, darlin’! Missed you much. You should get your package before V-Day on Wednesday, but then again…
When I heard about Anna Nicole, my first thought was for that poor baby as well. I truly hope she gets some kind of normal childhood; she’s starting out with a pretty sad story for sure.
About your rant in the first paragraph…uh…methinks I’m missing sumpthin’ because I’m not sure why you’re ranting. But, I have a lot on my mind after receiving a not so fun e-mail from my “friend” (if you catch my drift. When you’re up to it, I’ll fill you in. Sigh.

welcome back.
that is all.
it’s not like we don’t talk to each other like…every day or anything.

I’ve been talking to Mert about the whole 2k blogger thing and I think it’s been so blown out of proportion. It’s a great idea to get all those people together. If you don’t like it, just move on. Why create this whole negative campaign against it? Maybe “she” just doesn’t have anything better to write about.
I’ll stop now . . . hope you’re feeling better soon!

I am out of the loop, 2K blogger thing? I understand the Valentine thing, I don’t want to put it up because I don’t think I will get more than a few, yikes, I hate that
Anna Nicole, something about her always struck me, I guess because I am a Marilyn Monroe fan.. Hard Knock kids, pretty, and stupid most times.. Anna Nicole could look pretty when her lips were not deflated and she had no makeup on
Great Blog.. I will be back..
Nice to meet you! It’s probably just as well to be immune to the 2k bloggers thing. Just a bit of HS drama surrounding whether or not certain folks “deserve” the link love that is an unintended by-product of a great blogging social event. It is very sad about Anna Nicole, lots of tragedy surrounding her final year.

Welcome back sweetie!
As for 2k bloggers – hurray for anyone who decided to do it. Isn’t the point of joining a group to get more traffic through your blog? We all want more people to visit, and we all want to find more sites to visit.
My “non-Soul Patrol” list of blog links is about as long as the group of Soul Patrollers who enticed me to blog in the first place. Sheesh! Can’t we just enjoy what we do and have some fun?
Uhm…I did not intend to rant. That’s the second time I’ve ranted on someone else’s blog. **note to self: stop doing that!!**

Preach it sistah! You killed me with the Homecoming Queen stuff.
Can I sit at your table? I’ll do your homework…
Anna Nicole… so sad. Her life has always been a mess, I have a feeling her parents really screwed her up considering how venomous she had been lately when speaking about her mother. I hope the same things for her baby.
The dust bunnies can come on over and have a party with mine… as long as they bring the chips and salsa. I am glad you are feeling better!
I seem to skip a few seasons of Idol, then watch one, then skip a few more… it kind of gets old for me. It’s always the same. I do the same thing with Survivor.
You sure can, as long as you also find someone to buy us a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20. I’ll keep the chips and salsa, send the bunnies over there, you come over here to the beach and we’ll eat their snacks. I am so over Survivor.

I think the Valentine thing is a cute idea. I’ll send you one! Ooops! Am I supposed to tell you that?
