Overheard this Morning

I called Ashlyn while she was on the way to school about her homework… at the end of the call this is what transpired:

Me: Ok, so I love you, bye!!!
Ashlyn: Ummm yeah, bye.

::click::

Me: BAHAHAHAHAHAHA ::snort::

She would just fall over dead if she had to say “I love you” to her Mom in front of her fellow bus riders, wouldn’t she!? ;)

    Bwahahahahaha!

    My son is only 7, and already he doesn’t want me hugging him in site of his “dudes.”

    Bwahahahaha!

  2. Ashlyn Says:

    Uhm no. I said “I love you” in the middle of the hall with people around. So yes. Lol. I was just busy and you interrupted me Missy. ;)

    Ah yes. I hear this is one of the special things about being a parent. I remember it took my mom just a short time to realize that you don’t yell “I love you, be careful” to your 10 year old son as he gets out of the car to go to football practice.

    But, when we were standing together on the field on senior night before my final home game in high school, she realized that it was OK to start saying it again…quietly so only I could hear it.

    You should go to the bus stop with her and kiss her in front of her friends. That’s what I do to my daughter…but she’s only six.

    OMG! Marissa did the same thing to me this past Sunday! Her friend’s mom was dropping her off after the girls went to lunch and shopping and I was just calling to see what time she’d be back! I said I love you, and she said, Me Too! I just wanted to cry!! *sniff sniff*

    BTW, thanks for the V card! Very sweet!
