American Idol…How I’m Starting to Loathe Thee.
I won’t bother giving my review…it was basically more of the same dreck from the week before. I like the same people: Blake (begrudingly, but he’s really one of the best), Melinda (she has such a spark and what a powerhouse voice in a tiny little package), Lakisha (not my favorite singer but I acknowledge her talent) and Stephanie.
I was amazed that Sabrina Sloane is gone…I pegged her as one of the possible contenders for the crown. I’m sure it’s because they haven’t made me feel like investing my time to vote. I didn’t even watch the shows this week as they were happening. I had other things to do. That in itself is telltale. I never allowed myself to have other things to do if at all possible during the previous 3 seasons.
I’m overall, unimpressed, uninspired and underwhelmed. But I can’t seem to let go. Like a good relationship gone sour. ::sighs::

I watched some American Idol last week and this week. I was not impressed. The show just isn’t doing it for me anymore, so I’ve pretty much not even bothered to watch.

I think they need to do something dramatically different if they want to keep their audience. The bickering among the judges are getting irritating. And why is Sanjaya still there?????

American Idol. . .
Bad Singing, irritating judges.
I’d put up with the judges if they would pick someone with talent to compete. The year I liked the best (Reuben and Clay) it seemed like everyone had a great voice. I could’nt believe how bad people sounded this year when I listened to the top 24.
Good luck letting go of that bad realtionship!

I continue to watch – both my mom and my sister enjoy the show and I must be prepared for questions. My lady loves Melinda and LaKisha – she’s even voted a couple times. This is her first full season watching, so I’ll hang in for her.
But it’s not like it was last year.

The Woman hasn’t ever watched before. The human male always did so now that we live with him, we’re watching. She doesn’t have anything to compare it too but she is surprised by how underwhelmed she is with so many of the starts.
She also likes Melinda and Blake. She doesn’t think Blake is the necessarily the best of the best as far as singing, he has a true voice and he’s a performer in a way the others aren’t. Yawn. I’ll be glad when it’s over. While Lakisha is a good singer–her voice grates on my sensitive cat ears.

As you know I have pegged Stephanie to be a dark horse and possibly upset LaKisha one week… Melinda is so far ahead right now talent wise
