Woohoo!!!
Sanjaya is gone! Yayyyyyy! Though I am pleased as punch that he’s finally voted off, I did feel sorry for the little fella when he cried. Kind of.
Hubby didn’t like Blake this week, I did. He doesn’t really like Blake much at all. He doesn’t like Chris R. more. I don’t really care much for Chris..but there were certainly worse people.
I was thrilled with how Phil Stacy did. I’ve known from the beginning that boy could sing, and he finally put in a performance worthy of the talent I’ve always suspected he has.
Good week for me in Idolville.

Hubby and I don’t watch AI, but even he and I were thrilled at the ouster of Sanjaya. Maybe now he’ll fade away…

This week was a GOOD week in AI. I was glad to see Sanjaya go. He has a lot of charisma but isn’t much of a singer. I’m not much of a Chris fan either. I agree with you on Phil. He was really in his element this week.

Yes, good week in Idolville all the way around. At the start of the season Melinda and Lakisha were about the same for me for likes/talent, etc. but now I really like little Miss Melinda and don’t really care one way or the other about Lakisha. Well, not entirely true as the season has worn on I’ve been less and less able to watch her sing that lisp kills me.
Hugs,
Holly
My hubby and I were just commenting on her lisp while she sings! Most people don’t carry their speech impediments into their singing (think, Mel Tillis) but she does. She has a hella voice, but yes, the lisp is starting to get distracting.

Maybe now we can get serious about this season… Blake was eh… Chris sucked….phil, I agree, knew he could sing.. finally did….

I couldn’t agree more! I’m so glad he’s gone and now they might be able to salvage this season and have some actual singers competing, without all of this distracting ridiculous press about Sanjaya. Ugh. I’m totally in agreement on Phil Stacey, he was really in his element with country music. In the beginning, I picked Chris Sligh and Phil, and then when Chris S. got voted out, I slowly started to like Blake Lewis. The more Blake sings (most weeks), the more I am liking him. But, wow, Phil and Jordin really blew me away this week.
Ah, I’m so glad Sanjaya is gone. I hope him and his notoriety slip away into oblivion soon.

I don’t really care for Blake anymore, or LaKisha. I’m hoping Melinda or Jordan will win.
How’s your job going?

I’m not a fan of Blake either. I was disappointed with LaKisha. My favorite remains Melinda, but I am still in dialing retirement.

We are so glad Sanjaya is FINALLY gone. I have to say I’ve begun to like Blake and was surprised to see him in the bottom three. He’s got the performance thing going and he always surprises me at how well he can actually sing. Personally I do like that he doesn’t hit the high notes of Jordin and Melinda–those are hard on my feline ears, but my human thinks that those two are the front runners.

I was glad Phil stepped up too. But this year is just not grabbing me by the unmentionables and getting me all excited. I’d be surprised if Melinda didn’t win it but I personally like Blake.

I now wonder what the news is going to feature for American Idol since Sanjaya gone.
