American Idol - The Semifinal Results
Ummmm…wow, I’m shocked. But then again, not shocked too. I totally expected Melinda to be in the finals. However, as Ken and Ashlyn pointed out, the crowds in the “going home for a day” videos really showed a telling picture about the demographics of their fan bases.
I have no doubt that Melinda will get a deal, and I hope that she’ll be better off for it. She was truly a consummate professional throughout, IMO.
I really think it’s anyone’s crown next week, and I’d be happy for either one of them even though I lean a little more towards Blake. Should be interesting. Wonder how they’ll top having Prince last year? LOL

Happy though I am for the local boy to get in, I too was shocked that Melinda went home. It seems very unfair because she is the best singer.
I too wondered about the crowds and thought perhaps it was just the way that her reunion was set up–but even so it did seem a bit smaller. Of course, what’s with Blake getting flown from Seattle to Bothell?! Bothell is a suburb on top of Seattle–so we laughed about hte plane. Of course if it was rush hour it may have been necessary!

I watching the finale right now as I’m typing this. So far, it hasn’t lived up to last year. They seem to be mostly showcasing former Idol winners.
I hope Jordin wins!
