Free For All Friday

Friday, August 31st, 2007

Hello, Yoshi here, once again hijacking tiggerprr’s blog just to promote myself. Bwahahahaah. It’s what she deserves for the posting my picture. Although at least it was a good picture, and not one that involved silver jackets or something.

Anyways, Free for all Friday is where YOU can post to MY blog on the last friday of the month. You should come on over and make a post, talk about whatever you want to talk about, and pimp your site. :D Who knows, maybe you’ll find some new readership! What are you waiting for?

Baby Yoshi!

(If I don’t post something in the next couple days…Yoshi killed me, and you should send a search party.)

So Like, Where’s tiggerprr Been?

I’ve been working. Loving it! (So far. I’m ever the optimist LOL). Soooo much less stress…sooo much more appreciation. I like it so much, I think I’ll actually take my Successories in there. I never took any personal crap to the last job, unless you count chocolate and Special K bars. We’ll see how it goes.

The kids also started school this week. So we’ve been adjusting our schedules and getting used to waking up on time to get five of us out the door and to our respective destinations. So far, so good.

I’ve also been playing WoW, but I am NOT addicted to WoW as someone seems to think. I just enjoy it, I could quit any time. I just choose not to.

Our first recording of our joint podcast led Yoshi to decide that we needed to have 2 podcasts, one where he and I co-host and interview fellow bloggers about themselves and their blogs. Jenny Ryan has graciously agreed to be our first victim interviewee. I just have to get off my butt out of Azeroth long enough to help Yoshi prepare some good questions for her. :) If you’d like to be interviewed by Yoshi and I, drop either of us an email, we’d love to hear from you! :)

We’re also going to go with our other podcast idea which is a mass hodgepodge of general discussions about topics of the day, news, movies, games, vacuum boobs, what Britney Spears isn’t wearing, etc…

So some pretty exciting stuff going on behind the scenes here! I’ll keep you posted!

Oh, and the cats are fine but OC seems to be a little more verbal and needy now that people aren’t around all day again.

I love the Sonic Drive In. There’s no question that some days, a gooey cheese-topped order of tater tots and a yummy cheeseburger really hits the spot. But that’s not what I’m having a problem with that might require intervention.

It’s the Real Fruit Pineapple Slush. It’s more than just a great drink on a hot day, it’s a snack too. There are so many chunks of fresh pineapple in it! You literally can suck a frozen piece of pineapple-ly goodness in every sip. Who am I kidding? I don’t sip this drink, I devour it. It’s soooooo tasty. There really aren’t even words that I could use that would adequately describe my love for this drink.

You should go try one. Now.

I’m sooooo late, but better late than never, eh?

Appetizer – Say there’s a book written about your life. Who would you want to narrate the audio version?
I would want to narrate it myself. I presume if my life were interesting enough to have a book written about it, that people would enjoy hearing it in my own voice.

Soup – Take the letters from your favorite kind of nut and write a sentence. (Example: Perhaps every avenue needs understanding today.)
Clearly, a smile holds enormous weight.

Salad – If you could go back in time and spend one week in another decade, which decade would you choose?
That would be the 1980’s – I had some of the best times of my life then. And I miss some of the people that were in my life then very much.

Main Course – Name a song that brings back memories for you.
“Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey. I got my very first “real” kiss to that song, on November 25, 1981. Actually the whole Escape Album (because they weren’t CDs back then!) is very meaningful for me. :) Ahhhhh, memories.

Dessert – Do you prefer to wash your hands in cold water or warm water?
Warm of course!

Crossposted from Hello!Food

As summer draws to a close, many states across the country are celebrating their State Fairs. With that, comes competitions for the best pickles, the best cows, the best sheep, well you get the idea. The masses swell for concerts by favorite artists, to ride the rides, get creeped out by the fair game carnies and to view the spectacle that is the Butter Cow, if you’re at the Iowa State Fair. But let’s face the facts, you and I both know the real reason that anyone vists the State Fair is the food.
