It seems like this has been the yearish from Hell. I just wanted to pop in and let you all know that I had hand surgery about 3 weeks ago, so that’s why I’ve been absent again. I’ll be back soon.

I’ve actually been planning to write this post for a long time. I just haven’t been able to find the time to mentally sit still long enough to write it. I think that’s why I haven’t really been posting a lot lately. I have a ton of things on my mind, and it’s hard to sort a whirlwind out.

The above quote (yes, it’s from a Star Wars movie, suck it up) really is meaningful and poignant. I am surrounded by people and find them and myself in positions where each person’s “truth” is totally different than the other’s. Perception is reality. So if you believe that someone has wronged you, even if they haven’t, they really might as well have. But perhaps they didn’t, and you’ve not bothered to step inside their shoes for a moment to try to see their “truth” about the situation.

Maybe the next time we’re angry at someone because we believe they did something bad or wrong, we should try to take a step back and think first. The world might be a better place if we all did that from time to time.
