Perfect Post Award for August 2007

For this month’s Perfect Post Award, sponsored by Lindsay at Suburban Turmoil and Kimberly at Petroville, I chose HK Muse’s post about the roller coaster that is life. It touched me to read about her “most important days”. It’s always good to take an inventory of one’s life and remember all the good, the bad and the downright awful. The latter two, make you appreciate all the good in your life.

I’ve actually known HK Muse IRL for a few years now, since she started dating Cybrpunk. I remember thinking she was pretty cool and I hoped that Cybr wouldn’t screw things up! LOL ;) Apparently, he’s pretty smart, since he married her and my first impression of her must have been right. Take a moment and go check her out! She helps homeless kitties in Hong Kong too, she can’t be all bad, eh? :)

America’s Next Top Momma!

I'm a Top Mommma! This is a sticky post, please scroll down for new posts.

I’m a Top Momma and you can help me stay on top by clicking this cute button and then clicking on my picture which is the same as the one on my About page here! Being America’s Next Top Momma is harder work than being America’s Next Top Model, BUT at least we Momma’s actually get to eat (when the kiddos let us, huh?)! :D

While you’re there clicking me, you can also click on Local Girl’s picture too, she’s up there also! I know she’ll appreciate your support and wow, is she she a shining example of a Top Momma, she does it all! There’s room at the top for two for sure! ;)

Since we’re sharing all sorts of post-Valentine’s Day love, be sure to click on Caylynn’s thumbnail on the right here and read 13 things about her and her hubby’s trip to Switzerland! How exciting it must be to be living in Europe! :)

Sticky Post - GO VOTE! For me if you like or any of the other fine candidates!

I woke up feeling like, well…crap today. I think Local Girl’s creeping crud crawled it’s way over here from Hawaii, maybe via a passenger! So imagine my delight to find out that I’ve been nominated, not once, but in two different categories: “Blogger You’d Most Like to Meet” and “Blog You’ll Never Stop Reading” at the Share the Love Blog Awards.

I don’t know which ones of my too-kind friends, nominated me for these cool categories but I have suspicions and much gratitude for the warm fuzzy high I have this morning.

If you’d like to vote for me, and the other fine nominated blogs, there are two stages of voting. The first phase to determine 5 finalists in each category will be from now till the 6th. The final voting will be from Feb 7th - 13th with the winners being announced sometime on February 14th. I see so many of my friends nominated, and I know I am in good company.

Gawrsh. I feel special. Thanks for indulging my Sally Fields moment and for coming along on my blog journey with me. :)

A Perfect Post – January 2007

I am fortunate enough to have encountered so many blogs whose writers have inspired me, moved me, made me laugh, made me cry (and that’s hard to do, mind you) and warmed my heart. That’s a whole other aspect of blogging that for some reason I didn’t expect when I started my own space here in August.

Daddy Forever started visiting me a few months ago, and his comments never fail to make me laugh. His poor long-suffering wife could probably tell you some awesome stories about this man, but in all honesty, he does a pretty good job of that himself. I love his perspective on things and his near-devilish sense of humor. When I read his blog entry commemorating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, I was especially moved. Here is this person that usually has me in stitches talking about his family’s antics, expressing his idealistic dreams and how they’ve changed since the addition of children to his life. I have to say, I even got a little misty as I read about his hopes. I think it’ll move you too.

This is why I’ve awarded Daddy Forever my Perfect Post Award for January 2007. I hope you’ll go discover his blog if you’ve never read it before, starting with this entry. If you have, go visit him anyway, and give this man a pat on the back. He’s an awesome writer and an even more awesome Dad.

Thank you so much to Petroville & Suburban Turmoil for providing us with the ability to recognize those articles that struck a chord with us through the month! Go visit their sites to see the other wonderful articles that were honored with the Perfect Post Award for January.
