Renewal…

Sunday, January 3rd, 2010

2009 sucked ass in so many ways it’s not even funny so I will dispense with recapping it or adding to the suckfest. 2010 has not started off great either due to some craziness and some self-inflicted sadness for my greater good. But that’s…okay. If I learned anything this past year, it’s that no matter what happens, I still have a lot to be thankful for.

I moved away from blogging a couple years ago because I’d gotten a new job and then Ken’s kids moved in with us, causing me not to have the time you really need to have to devote to blogging as it should be done. The honest truth is, now I have nothing but time and a lot on my heart both happy and sad that probably could be served by writing about them.

So that’s what the title of this blog post means…not my renewal…though that’s what blogging will most assuredly become a part of…but instead, the renewal of Tiggerprr’s Scratching Post. I may never again build the following I had before, but that’s ok…I don’t need to be popular. I need the therapy and camaraderie that blogging provides. I’ve missed you, bloggy friends…I’ve missed you, blog. I’m home.

New Year’s Resolution – 1/16/09 – Already Down the Tubes!

Friday, January 16th, 2009

So, my New Year’s Resolution to myself was to start writing on my blog as daily as possible again. I miss my bloggy friends a lot. I also wanted to start up my Project 365 again, in the hopes that it would help me want to actually do some stuff so as not to bore you guys with the same picture, day after day after day. lol

It’s January 16th, and this is my first post here. Looks like I failed already! However…the nice thing about failure, is that you can always try again. So… Here’s my January 16th resolution: I will try to dust myself off and write again.

It’s hard though, I haven’t been writing because so much stuff is weighing on my heart and I don’t want to turn this into Tiggerprr’s Psychodrama Blog. You know? I’ll just have to give it my best shot.

Hope everyone else’s resolutions are going better than mine!

A Little Scary…

Monday, March 31st, 2008

No, I’m not talking about Yoshi threatening me in my last post! I ate dinner at Lady & Sons because I wanted to, not because I’m scared of him! I’ll talk more on Savannah in a day or two. I have to organize the hundreds of pictures we took first. We had a good time though. :)

Well…what is A Little Scary? It’s a new webcomic that my friend cybrpunk has started to publish. Go check it out! It’s kind of cute in a weird little way. :)

Eli Stone…

It’s a new TV show on ABC…it’s really good. You should watch it.

I’m really enjoying American Idol this year. I really wish that Kristy Lee Cook girl would have gone home for her crime against “8 Days a Week”.

Life keeps going by so fast and I seriously doubt any of you would be interested in what I have to say. Oddly, that’s where I was before I started to blog back in 2006…so maybe you WOULD be interested.

Ashlyn got accepted to the college of her choice. She’ll be staying at home, at least for the first year, since it’s just down the street a few miles. I hope she sticks with it and finishes her degree. Now we just await the end of her Senior year. She goes to her senior trip next month, 4 days at Disneyworld in Orlando. Lucky her, I didn’t choose to be a chaperone. LOL

Insomnia is still a part of my daily life. I am going to have a sleep study done next Friday. Of course, that begs the question…how can they do a sleep study on me, if I don’t really sleep? Hmmmm…

In case you were wondering where Canadians go for vacation…it’s Myrtle Beach. I’ve been trying to think of sneaky ways to get them to say “aboot”…but so far, I’ve not been successful.

The $50,000 Question

Monday, August 20th, 2007

Michael over at Valtool’s Box created a meme and I have to say, it’s very thought provoking. I’ve been feeling very introspective (moreso than usual) lately. Let’s see what we shall see about the ol’ tiggerprr, shall we?

A philanthropist awards you $50,000 with the stipulation that you may use half of it for yourself and the other half you must use for the benefit of others. By “benefit of others” it can mean anything really, buying a gift for a family member or donating to a charity.

I Am Posting This Retraction Under Duress

Wednesday, August 15th, 2007

As you know…Over the past year, twice in the last month actually, I’ve made light of the ginormous amounts of wiring and various computer parts he just REFUSES to get rid of.

Well today, the power went out and somehow my power supply in my computer got fried. Yes, you guessed it. The hubby had an old power supply that he Frankenputered into my PC so that I am able to post to the masses. I was advised that there would be a worldwide (web) retraction of all harassment I’ve given him over the years for all the crap that he keeps laying about “just in case” we need it some day.

So, begrudingly, I must admit that I am pleased that he had the part he needed to get me up and running and that I’m happy that he has this massive collection of stuff. Yes, he’s a good hubby ::pat, pat::

This doesn’t mean I have to be happy about HOW it’s stored though, right? Right.
