A Familiar Face is Resurrected on 24

Ashlyn had her knee surgery on Friday and came out with flying colors. In fact, thanks to modern chemistry, her colors aren’t the only thing that’s flying, if you know what I mean. After a couple doses of “the good stuff” she looked up at hubby and I and simply said, with a big cheesy grin no less, “I feel good!” (I half expected her to hop up and do a little James Brown dance.)

She has a giant brace on her leg and we go back to the doctor tomorrow. I’ve got the week off from work if we need to use it, so I am hoping that I’ll get the chance to get back into the swing of posting and get out to see all of you that I’ve been missing for all this time.

American Idol…so happy that Princess Disney is gone…and while Sanjaya did sing well on his song, the creepy eye thing was, well…creepy.

24…I’m having a bit of trouble staying connected with the story this year, but it’s still great. Loooooove me some Jack Bauer. Yum.

I’ll be seeing you all this week, I promise!

I seriously need to win the lottery, I have been a craptastic blogger this week…sorry! I have tons and tons to say, and I promise to say them this weekend. I think I’ll be using a poor sales technique I call “Show up and throw up” (where you just show up at the business and tell them everything they did or didn’t want to know about you and your company and your product/service), except I’m not tryin to sell anything to you, other than a laugh or inspiration, and they’re free! LOL I DID however, get a 15% raise after 2 weeks…so that’s something. LOL

Would you believe I haven’t even seen this week’s 24? Ugh. Don’t tell me about it though… ::plugs ears:: LALALALALALALALA

And that giant vacuum sound you hear??? No, that’s not me cleaning the house…that’s the sound of American Idol sucking really hard. I’ll speak more on this topic later.

Anyway, just wanted to fly in this Friday evening and say I am still alive. I have decided we really do have a teenager in the house, as illustrated by the fact that we now have other family’s teenagers spending time over here eating our food and sleeping on our couches/beds…that’s probably what I’ll be doing tonight, when I’m not hiding out in World of Warcraft.

Oh and two more things….

Thank you soooo much to all of you, old friends and new friends, who stopped by to visit me on my birthday and give me well wishes…I was vaclempt!

The cable company finally got my stuff all fixed (seemingly, though I’m still having “little moments”). But, outside of a post that’s been brewing in my head for a few days now, I really haven’t had anything much to say. Maybe it’s Spring, maybe it’s laziness, maybe I’m just boring (LOL). OK, I’m not boring, so that can’t be it! Oh goodness, this is turning into one of those posts that Holly dislikes so much! LOL

I’ve been finding myself going to sleep between midnight and 1am lately, which is incredibly early compared to what I have been doing. So that’s cutting into the time that I am usually reflecting and blogging and visiting other people. However, since I’m getting more sleep, that’s a good thing.

Perhaps this was just what European folks call a “mini-break” though unintentional. At any rate, I’m here and I have a really interesting post formulating in my head so be looking for that in the next day or so. Hope you all are well.

Oh and 24…I’ll be posting about that after Ashlyn watches it on DVR, she went to bed early and hasn’t seen it yet.
